The Chestney-Hawkins has been tracking its cases statistically for the past several years, including approximately 1000 closed DUI cases. The following is a summary of the results of those closed cases. The actual compilation of these cases, with the clients' names omitted, of course, can be supplied to a client or prospective client upon request.

In 2004,approximately 80% of the firm's cases have been fully contested, with the remainder of our clients choosing to enter a plea rather than take their case all the way to trial.

Of the fully contested cases, only 2% have resulted in a DUI conviction. Roughly 73% of our cases have been resolved successfully without a trial (either dismissed or reduced to a lesser charge). Approximately three-fourths of the cases that did require a trial resulted in an acquittal.
